Caroli’s Disease with Portal Vein Thrombosis: To Anti-Coagulate or Not?

Abstract

A 32-year-old male presented with hematemesis for 5 days, which was accompanied by left lower
abdominal quadrant pain and fever. The physical examination revealed mild tenderness in the lower
abdominal quadrant without peritoneal irritation. The axillary temperature was 39.0°C and there
was a surgical scar on the abdomen.
