Abstract

The most common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract is Meckel’s Diverticulum (MD). Schistosomiasis (Bilharziasis) is a parasitic disease caused by infection with parasitic worms, and humans are the primary hosts of the three major species of Schistosomes. Intestinal obstruction is an infrequent presentation. Schistosomiasis Mansoni is related to environmental sanitation and is an endemic disease in developing countries, particularly sub-Saharan Africa. We present a case of Schistosomal Enteritis in Meckel diverticulum presented as an intestinal, resulting in intestinal obstruction.
